I've been told by numerous gardeners, a couple from Amateur Gardening, that sperengeris don't and will never flower indoors. Yet take a look at this

    Great job, Daisees :gnthb:

As usual it is a case of, 'Listen to what people say can't be done and then go right ahead and do it!' :hehe:

No credit to me, Marley. That poor fern has been grossly neglected over the years. I'd frequently forget to water it for weeks, specially in the winter and I've hacked the root ball about something criminal when it got too big for its boots (i.e. pot!). I even took a saw to it once to reduce the root ball, as the guy from AG advised, but I cut off the top as well because it was all spiky. It didn't show a frond again for months and I was becoming sure I'd killed it! I even resorted to talking to it! But after about a year, it suddenly started shooting again.

It's also been moved seven times, sometimes into places with virtually no light, and sulked dreadfully. But it seems like it loves that conservatory which, having no heating, is bitter cold in the winter but almost too hot to bear in this weather when it's been shut up all day. But I think you could say it revels in that environment, wouldn't you? This is what it looked like prior to that last catastrophic repotting. The neighbours called it the triffid! :hehe:

Oh, and btw - the aroma from the blooms is awful! It smells like stagnant laundry water! :euw:
