    This is a long shot but have come here with a list for my little semi shady bed...5sqm in North Yorks.

    Looking for not too tall, happy with some damp. Floaty would be nice. Or all year interest.

    Impossible task?
    Not for the hive mind if GC I'm sure.

      Sarah, probably far too late now but astrantias would do well there. Delightful pincushion flowers for most of the summer....white, pink or red flowers.
      Agree with astilbes too.
      Check out acteas/cimicifugas ......superb architectural brown/purple foliage and white scented flowers in late summer. :)

      I agree with verdun Astrantia are a must lovely plants . Bleeding heart ( dicentra / lampro... ) are nice , tiarella - brunnera lots to pick from - J anemone ( some wander ) - Thalictrums are nice and airy lots to pick from - phlox like a bit of shade from afternoon sun - most primula's. Lots of plants will grow in part shade
