    I made this a while ago, and was only reminded of it due to another thread on here. Deliberately made to look like wood, it is actually concrete...

        Realising that wooden ones would end up rotting, and wanting a challenge.

                Maybe for you Sandy but im not sure it would look soooo pretty if I attempted to make one :heehee:
                Just had another look and it's such a decorative piece, like a piece of garden art - and particularly appealing with the dew and Autumn colors surrounding it :dbgrtmb:

                      The colour was more a case of good luck than good management, but can be repeated.

                            The colour comes from mixing water soluble wood stain in water, then using the water to mix the concrete. The pattern is from a mould made in fibreglass on an actual piece of tree. As I said, easy really.
