Remember debating with you guys about saving seeds for spring sowing or sowing immediately. I chose this year the latter and have enjoyed watching my guests taking plants (in threes of course) as they exit the driveway and donating to my current cause. Ive been so successful with hollyhock selling I started a second batch a month ago which are already potted on and growing away. Next year why not try it ?

That's without a greenhouse too (if i could load photos would do so)

Hi, MOL! I have done the same this year with hollyhocks - got a nice crop of 'Nigra' going - black hollyhocks (isn't that word a beggar to type?!). Now it's a question of keeping them going over the winter! Think I'll pass them on to friends & neighbours & spread the load! Did the same with giant agapanthus last year. They haven't done so well - still small, but growing steadily. Have been collecting other seed from the garden too, to spread around. Amazing how many seeds a tiny antirrhinum pod holds! Lindy
