        Salvia elegans has just started putting out a few late blooms (it is generally a winter/spring bloomer)..............

            Seeing this thread again reminded me, my favourite flowered at the start of the month, 'African Sky'. Don't think I'll ever bother with another tender one but I just love this one's colour!

                Salvias doing well this year seem to have enjoyed the warmer than usual weather.

                      I like the gift.

                      I bought a pink/red Salvia microphylla and it has bloomed and the flowers died. Trimmed back waiting for rebloom. My S farinacea has bloomed non stop since last Autumn even through our cold snap and now 30c+ weather. Strange.

                        Amistad, I leave it in the ground now and comes back to 5ft from nothing.

                              Are you sure it's a salvia? :scratch: Only thing I can think of which even vaguely resembles it is S. sagittata, but they're not quite the same!
