Hi, please accept my apologies if I'm re-hashing a thread already in existence but I thought that as we all spend time and money looking for quality seeds, plants, not to mention tools and equipment for our gardens, it might be a worthwhile excersise to jot down our experiences with the people we've dealt with.
In the event of being particularly upset with any individual supplier I would advise that comments that could result in legal action, be avoided. I'll kick off by rating the ones I've dealt with this year

    Hayloft Plants ( http://www.hayloft-plants.co.uk/ )
Beautiful range of superb quality plants sent by mail in well packaged and protected containers. Can't think of anything negative to say about them

    Thompson & Morgan ( http://www.thompson-morgan.com/?source=google-brand&gclid=CN2Hwubv0bcCFWfItAod-DcAOQ )
I'm sure you all know these guys; good range of things but orders are a tad slow in arriving

Seed Parade ( http://www.seedparade.co.uk/ ) Excellent supplier who send the seeds in plain plastic bags with just a label with the seed name on. You look up planting instructions etc online or wherever. Great for the person who knows exactly what he wants and I'll certainly be going back to them next year

    Turfonline ( http://www.turfonline.co.uk/ )
Excellent service, great quality turf cut and delivered on the same day, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Hopefully I won't need them again but I'd recommend them to anyone.

    Higgledy Seeds ( http://higgledygarden.com/Higgledy-Garden-Seed-Sowing-Guide-2012.pdf )
Again a smaller seedsman who excels in seeds for cut flowers, but his website goes to great lengths to guide you in how to get the best from the seeds. Again I'd recommend

    Wyevale
Next time you are buying multiple plants be cheeky and ask for a 3 for 2 deal, its quite suprising how often they say yes!

    Wilkinsons,
Great for pots etc but I can't help feeling sorry for the plants that end up on their shelves

    That's mine for now,

    Andrew

Might be better to have separate threads for each supplier ... easier for folk to comment on them then, and perhaps a more useful resource longer term?

If the supplier is already in the Directory:
    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/directory/
then a comment there would centralise any feedback (good or bad :) )

I have had Penstemon rooted cuttings that were disappointing from them. May just be me of course.

My local Wyevales have a 50% off discount rack, but apart from that they won't give discount on anything ... I've tried!

I have had lots of seed, over the years, from T&M that has had poor germination such that I now only buy from them if I can't get them elsewhere. I find it an annoyance that T&M, and van Meuwen, send my order in lots of separate packets, many of which arrive in the same post. Apart from the cost/wastage it makes it tedious to check what is in an order, and what has yet to arrive; they don't (or didn't last time I looked) provide a Delivery Note indicating what was in/to-follow, and no means on the website of checking the status of individual lines of an order. Things that are scheduled to arrive late (some of them months later - all as per website so no problem with that per se) just arrive out of the blue. I've been on holiday and plants still in their box, and dead, when I arrive back home ... would be better that they told me they were coming so I could make arrangements - and alert them if they then did not arrive as expected.
