Suspect Fireblight in Finnish Whitebeam

    I suspect Fireblight in Finnish Whitebeam which is in a neighbors garden on private (not Council) land.

    Does this need reporting to the Council? Thanks.

    I would say it's a natural fall at the moment looking at the rest of the leaves, with the lack of rain/dry summer trees are shedding their leaves early. Keep and eye on the thicker branches and trunk for any disease, weeping or black wounds etc.

    Here is a closer look at the fruit, not all this bad on the tree. I remember the orange berries being bright orange and plump. I think we have had reasonable rain this year in West Yorkshire. However, disease not proven maybe.
