    Hi

Just wanted some general advice on my sweet cherry tree.

Its about 5 years old now. It has hardly produced any fruit (last year we had 10 cherries) this year there are only 6 or so :( - Im guessing this is down to poor pollination, there are a couple of cherry trees about 50m away though.

Also I have attached a picture and would like to know if I should cut the 2 lower branches that you can see (the very bottom ones attached to the trunk)

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Assuming it flowers ok it must be a pollination problem.
    What variety is it?

    It certainly looks healthy

I am not sure of the exact type but it is a sweet variety. It flowers fine.

Do you know what variety your cherry is? Most need a pollinator. As far as I know there is only one self fertile culinary cherry, which is 'Stella'.
