a good thread started here Pam. When space is at a premium, I reckon we all have to juggle about and make reluctant decisions over what we don't want to lose. I have these 6 Silene Acaulis that I grew from seed - came from a friend' Assignment 6 Structures and Buildings16 Nov 2012 029.JPG s plant that I fell in love with. Should be tough as old boots ??:dunno:. Shall I risk leaving them outside??

In extremis you can always bring them in and put them in garage or somesuch if it turns bitterly cold. They won't mind being in the dark for a week, even, particularly if youc an put them out for a few hours if it is mild enough mid-day

Mind you ... perfect excuse for a greenhouse covering a couple of acres :)

I have the foxglove, geum and echinacea outside in a sheltered position and they're coming on a treat, the lavender, penstemon and delphinium are in a coldframe and also doing really well...:dbgrtmb:
