    Hi,

Appreciate any advice/ comments on the following.

    1. Looking to use the CDRipper program ( as recommended by @Fat Controller ) to put about 30 CDs (pop) onto our PC, but not sure what is the best Format and Bit rate to use ?
Would have used higher rates before, but these days seems the edge has gone off our hearing, though some say even if you cannot hear a particualr HF range, those sounds also affect /improve the 'tone' of other frequencies you can hear ?

    2. We recently had the new Vodafone Fibre to Home put in the street and they are offering very good rates eg £25 for 100mb and phone.
However looking around the web very few comments about this new Vodafone Gigafast service and on their own forum somewhat mixed reviews about low speed and customer service, some being told to contact them on Facebook ?
Also a little sceptical about if their infrastructure on this new service will be that effective as they get loaded up ?

Has anyone actually got this new Gigafast service ?

    3. Currently with Virgin Media for our Broadband etc and in the past, come contract renewal time, had a talk with their Retentions department and usually got a fair deal.
Now it seems as if you only get through to a 'normal' operator who just gives you a set one price deal, no movement at all.
Sounds like you cannot speak to the actual Retentions staff unless you actually give them notice to quit, which then makes them come back with a better offer ?

Again anyone know if this is so, or any tips on getting a better deal ?

    thanks.
