Telephone Lines Down ...

Our telephone lines have come down and are lying across the electricity lines ... but we are still on line. Apparently the tractor knocked down a pole and wall in the orchard next to us. We don't think the driver told the owner as it has been several days so T'other Half contacted MEO our supplier and sent photos and they are sending their Tech Crew out to investigate.

Those wires look dangerous lying on top of each other like that, I hope it can be seen to soon. I'm glad you can still get on line.

 

Reminds me of what a mate told me went on out his way.
They have been having trouble with a certain section of the community out his way, the kind that buy land and fill it up with caravans and mobile homes.
They turned up the other day with a massive mobile home and took it down the lane to their field, couldn't make the turn with it into the field so cut down a telegraph pole so they could swing it in.

 

Oh gosh Vicky. Glad you're both safe and that that pole didn't fall in your direction! Hope it's all sorted out soon .x

Thank you Logan. Out most of the day but don't think they came. But it is not our property but should see when they replace post and move our lines.

 

They have arrived to repair/replace the telephone pole. May lose landline/internet soon. I wonder how they will get the old pole out and the new pole into the orchard?

 

At last @Victoria , it’s been a while, your internet and phone will be sorted quickly for you

Thank you @Lem. Fortunately we have not been without the landline/internet in the meantime. We don't know when the new pole was erected as the guys today were just redoing the lines going into the orchard from the lane just before our house. The new pole is one orchard row down. View from our kitchen window ...





No one has moved the rocks out of the lane but that is not our concern as we don't go that far on the lane and the two houses past them are empty. The Council should move them or the Owner of the orchard ... if he knows about it.

 

At least the phone lines are safe @Victoria , hope the council are not like our’s as the rocks will be there for ever
