Thanks - advice please

    I'm not sure I understand how the "thanks" counts at the side of the post works. I always say thank you in a new post when a query has been answered, sometimes to more than one person. Does that generate a "thanks in x posts" entry. I haven't yet used the Thanks button, what does this do and how does it differ from a worded thankyou?

I think we all thank people in our posts, but sometimes we are grateful for some excellent advice & so to show it we use the "Thanks" button as well making a post as well.. Just a nice friendly fun thing to do if you wish... :gnthb:
