I can't find the "Seed sowing this month- March 26"- thread so will start my own.

I have just discovered something new. :ideaIPB:

You know these cheapy "windowsill propagators" with 4-in-a-group cell modules inside? I just realised that not only do they fit nicely on windowsill, but also on the radiator until germination to keep the compost warm.

The cell units can then be moved to bright light when they germinate at their own pace.

Here are my (2nd round of)chillies, Toms, Physalis and Basil enjoying their pampered start of life in the posh £1.99 Home Bargains propagator that feels surprisingly sturdy.

My dining area decor must also be vastly improved by this elegance

Radiator trick is a good one. I used to just leave trays on the windowsill and wonder why germination was so patchy, turns out the temperature drops overnight were killing half of them. Even just a few days of bottom heat makes a massive difference for chillies especially.
