I was out taking photos today and just had to share this one of the wheat field next to ours. If this doesn't say "spring", then I don't know what does.

That is so lovely NA. What is especially pleasing is the diversity of plants. Is it wild meadow or the edge of a cultivated one?
France has so much more free land than we have. Nature is able to wander unhindered; I envy you that. We have lost so many of our wild flowers now,

It is the edge of a cultivated field, with wheat in it at the moment.
The verges around here have only just been cut, but for months now there have been a wide variety of wild flowers. I've been having a "field day" ( ha ha) photographing all the different ones. I've put some of them in my album here: http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/useralbums/wild-flowers-weeds.230/view
That reminds me, I've got some more to add to it.:)

That's a lovely picture NA. It should be in one of GC's photo competitions. :)
