    Just been on WayBackMachine, to see how GC used to look years ago, and it's evolved into a pretty nice forum;

    March 2008

    October 2008

    May 2009

    And then in 2010, I'm guessing the banner we have today was made and the forum took on the look it has today; April 2010

    March 2011

    Would have been nice to have seen the winter banner this past winter, though, but all-in-all, I couldn't imagine posting on the other layouts.. :D

      Nice one Kyle,

      Some of those boards are like the Gardening Australia boards, find those a bit difficult to navigate.

      Some familiar names way back then.

      Most of those (when I look at them from here) are missing the files for the style sheets, so as a result they look completely unusable. Capturing how websites were is not an easy job!

      There is actually very little difference between Then and Now (i.e. if the missing styling was available on WayBackMachine). New versions of the Forum software bought enhancements / new features with them, over the years, and there were some styling facelifts along the way too, which made the place smarter, sharper and more fun to use.

      Most forums are very similar, and when one adds a feature (like the Facebook LIKE concept) then the others do to ... so folk using other forums, at the time, found GC "familiar" - just like you do today, when comparing it with other forums that you use (give-or-take a bit here & there)

      But ... there's a new upgrade coming ... so some exciting new features to look forward too, and maybe some Change Management to get used to to!
