We seem to be suffering from a lot of double postings at the moment.

If your post appears not to have loaded, try copying it and then pressing F5 to see if it has already.

 

Pretty much of my Replies have not appeared to happen, and I have noticed that some other folk have posted duplicates.

Is the site slowing down as a factor of the elapsed time since it "restarted" after recent changes perhaps?

 

Surprised that XenForo doesn't just ignore attempts to double post ... perhaps they think it is so advanced that duplicate posts can't happen?!!

Ghosts scare me

 

I'm getting error messages especially when pasting quoting stuff from other websites into GC posts, but also including direct input, but if I paste into a WP doc, re-copy and re-paste into GC it overcomes the problem but it's never happened before and is a PITA.

For example I repeatedly got this error message for a supposedly 'invalid' message, but using the method described above I successfully re-posted it - compare the 2, they're identical:

I'm also getting slowdowns and failed attempts to upload images.


Anyway, why is exactly the same stuff 'invalid' on first, second and third attempts to post, but OK when copied, pasted, etc, as described?


P.S. And I've had a 'double post' - almost forgot that!

 

Same thing just happened on the other Xenforo forum I post on.

 

Since the changeover I've found that GC slows down anywhere between 8.15pm and 9.30pm, then seems to right itself around 10pm. I try not to load pics during this time as it's nigh on impossible to get them to upload.
