You are a Greengrocer and I claim my free bag of Broccoli (the rhyming dictionary said that that rhymed with Apostrophe - it loses a bit in translation doesn't it?!)

No mate, we only did history back to when Pontius was a pilot! But I'm sure you can remember back before then :)

Ahhh , so Lobby Ludd was the original promotion . I remember the Daily Mirror ran one , he was called Chalkie I think . If you stopped him at the seaside resort , with a copy of the Mirror you got a £5 note , to spend on fish and chips and Double Diamond beer !

Yes, Lobby goes back to the 1920's! He used to only go to seaside towns but, by the 1950's/60's the News Chronicle had got him travelling on public transport to lots of other places.

It was no good accosting him outside of the specific hours that were quoted in the paper as he would be in certain areas at for a set amount of time. You had to buy the paper to find out when and where.

Chalky White, from The Mirror, came along later.

That's a clever one, Kristen :blue thumb: :love30:

You're using the missing letter apostrophe and not the possessive. :yay:
