    put some peanuts out and found a new visitor in the garden. only checked my book when i noticed its flight was different from a pigeon ill try and get a pic of him but he doesnt hang around long and the magpies dont like him think its a really nice bird never noticed them before :eek:

    Absolutley gorgeous bird with beautiful colours, I wouldn`t mind one of them visiting my garden.

    thats him wiseoldowl he a stunner he a big ****** wasnt till i seen his flight and got the binocs out and saw the blue ..are they quite common or am i pretty lucky to have one visiting..got him most mornings now [​IMG]

    Think you are pretty lucky IP. Never seen one round here but would love to. Magpies by the thousand though so perhaps he should stay away. [​IMG]

    Where I walk the dog there certainly sounds like there is a lot of them. You usually hear a jay rather than see them and I only get a glimpse as they fly into cover usually. They have good eyesight and in woodland are often the first bird to give warning of predators.

    We have seen loads over the years especially when we are on our holidays or travelling along the Motorways,such a lovely pinkish colour as well :cool:

    ill have to get a pic now that i know im lucky to have him. he hides in a tree then swoops down takes one nut and then he gone he does this maybe four or five times then thats him for the day [​IMG] them magpies hate him dont half give him some stick :mad:
