the last cut?

    year by year now i seem to be cutting my grass
    later and later wonder how far we are off cutting
    our grass all year round [​IMG]

    I think the same about my privet hedge I think that's it done for this year but it always bites me in the butt and starts blooming growing again!

    Its my first proper year in my house in manchester with a lawn, what kind of time did you last cut it last year then?

    your right helen ive done myself a little buxus
    hedge and its flying but a little too much [​IMG]
    N.G. a few years ago i wouldnt have touch my grass after second week in september, last year it was third week in october .and this year who knows but i will draw a line at december 24th thats for sure. as i will be too pi,,ed
    to stand up never mind cut the grass [​IMG]

    Cheers, i know my lawn currently needs cutting but have noticed it slowing down. A couple more cuts to go then by the sounds of it. :D

    Water it with whiskey, then it'll come up half cut! :)

    I tend to cut almost all year.

    From mid November until mid February I reduce cutting to every four weeks returning back to fourtnightly/weekly cutting from mid Feb.

    It's still growing, so still needs cutting. Trouble is, it's very wet until midday. Falling leaves are adding to the general dampness too.

    yep same here tiarella just have to try and cut it late in the day.still quite mild so could be a while yet

    Cut ours just the other day Bob's getting the gardening bug from me and likes to keep the garden tidy although he says it's because he can see the slugs in the lawn better when it's short.... I don't believe him I think he just wants a better garden than everyone else on the estate! :D

    Well cut mine again last week and still growing. I reckon it will still want another cut too :D Its amazing how gratifying looking after your lawn can be. Its probably because i've not got much else to be proud of yet :(
