Thanks everybody for entering, voting and viewing, and it's good to see so many in the first 3. I walk past those trees on the way out and way back on about 3 dog walks a day and was sure there must be some way of using them for a pic, just a matter of adjusting white balance and being there during the right few minutes of the 'blue hour' on a day with clear skies and without wind blowing the branches above about.

This is what that scene looks like during the day, quite a difference isn't it?

He's not the only one Apple Blossom. :) I'm being accused of not keeping my eye on the road when I'm driving and to be honest my other half isn't wrong. I'm always looking for a good shot when I'm out and about. :th scifD36:

I do the same and slow down and then realise that there is a queue behind me :heehee:

For my Christmas and Birthday presents I've just purchased two new lenses with the help of Woo, found a company on line who can print the manual for my camera - a must, with my xmas gift vouchers purchased two beginners photography guide books and researched two local camera clubs........ no wonder Mr AB is worried :lunapic 130165696578242 5::lunapic 130165696578242 5:

We have a good camera club here but I've never felt the need to join it, I'm not a 'team' type of person really. :)

                          The lenses sound interesting! :)

Neither am I..... I'm trying to pluck the courage up to join.... having moved I'm not familiar with the area and I thought it might be a good idea to meet new friends and visit different places :)

                          I purchased a Panasonic GX Vario PZ 45 - 175mm and a Panasonic Leica DG Macro Elmarit 45mm F/2.8 ASPH :)

I like to learn things at my own speed and in my own time giving me the leeway to mull things over as I go along. Everything I've learnt, not just with photography has been pretty much self taught or through requested advice on occasions. I'm happy with my own company. :)

Good lenses. A macro lens is something I'm missing and definitely on the shopping list for the future. Modern camera's have a Macro adjustment but I don't think it defines as well as a lens.
