With all the talk of snow, blizzards and freezing temperatures recently I reckon the thought of hot pasties will warm us all up

Some years ago they used to have the world custard pie championships not far from me, they used to throw them at one another.
So what actually goes on in a World parstie championship?
Get hit with one of them and your dead.

My pasties are neither Cornish or traditional they are yummy though my fave is the good old cheese and onion I would love to try a proper Cornish pasty. I've had a traditional Cumbrian pasty, it was amazing I've also had a haggis one ( anyone who knows Keswick knows they are the first to go ) I love my pasties

 

Me too loki...yep, cheesen onion is good too.
Pasty shops galore down here selling pasties of every description ....not cornish pasties though

 

In my home town of Wigan they have the world Pie eating championship every year.
one of my favourites is a Wigan kebab it a meat and potato pie in the middle of a buttered barmcake

My brother in law is Cornish born n bred and makes AMAzing PARrrrsties- but then he says
"'e wur weaned wor um see"
Us Welshies have what is called the Pitmans Pasty-The Oggie...and it too is scrumdilyumcious
Now if anyone is looking for someone for quality control as an official taster- then im ya girl

 

Talking of pasties....

I had another go at making pasties this afternoon - but this time followed precisely the instructions issued by 'The Cornish Pasty Association'.
