Hello folks. Can someone tell me exactly what these are please? I planted some chilli seeds. It looks like something else has sprouted instead.

If you're lucky, either Aubergine or Tomatillo, if unlucky one of the Nightshades.

These look like several plants ,but firstly tomatillo

They also look like solanum which I grew several years ago.

My aubergines have a rough leaf and are a darker green. They also look like a plant I have which is poisonous a Datura. These have a recognisable strong smelling leaf.

There are some varieties of chilli that have leaves that shape and the ones stemming from the Capsicum pubescens variety has hairy leaves. So it's possible they may be chillies. They're from the solanum family and some hairy pubescens ,particularly Manzano, have flowers that look much more like a solanum flower than a chilli flower. There are over 3,000 types of chillies because they are so easy to cross breed. :noidea:

The plants look healthy and I would keep them :blue thumb:

So, these turned out to be (correct me if I'm wrong) Blackberry Nighshade.

They look a bit suspect to me.
I wouldn't eat any of the berries where did you get the seed from .

The seeds I actually planted came from some home grown chillies from a neighbour. Unfortunately none of them have taken. The Nightshade must have been lying in wait in the compost.
