    this is nuts, For years I have used this old Kodak camera to upload shots from it without any--at all---issue to this site. Now today there is. It did take the one of my burning wood. but now it keeps saying too big etc. I get my new cannon cannot upload here. But never has this Kodak been an issue. Not sure what is going on.

    If the Canon is newer, it probably produces larger images. You just need to re-size them to be within GC size limits.
    I hope I have understood your problem correctly.

      Pictures should be approximately 800 x 600 for GC to take them. Are your photo's jpegs' @redstar?

      neither one of you understood my issue. MY old Kodak camera. I have used it for 20 years now. And used it well with up loading to this site for all the years I have been a member. Suddenly today---this site is not accepting pics from this camera. I never had to worry about size or any of that stuff it just worked. And this is the old Kodak camera.

        If the site is not accepting your photos it will tell you why - what was the message that followed rejection?

          Hmmm, we'll look into it. I'm just going to try to post a image from my Pentax

          [IMG]

          Well, that went well:dunno::scratch:

          Redstar, are you uploading directly from your computer or from, say, something like Photobucket??? As are as I know we had not had a recent update of the Forum software that might have affected anything but we will make enquiries.:love30::snork:

            directly from my computer, like I have been for years. my camera has not changed. that is the issue. or from when we could upload from our camera. It says its too big, this has never occurred before. this camera I do not fuss with. it is what it has been.

            Hi Redstar, well, my images are taken RAW and then converted to Jpeg and downloaded from Photobucket. I'm just wondering if we have had an update to our software changing the image size without us being informed. Having said that I'm not having a problem with my images which are data large.:doh:
            I'll contact the Webmaster to find out.:coffee:

            I have been having problems for some time uploading from my computer (not Photobucket). I get a message saying my posting is too long. In the end I copy my posting, paste it above or below my original posting then delete one or t'other ... and it works! :rolleyespink:

            I am not the only one ... Kandy mentions it here and I agree. I know my photos are of a correct size and text is not too long.

            Therefore @redstar I do not think it is the fault of your camera but that of GCs ... this is said without prejudice. :love30:

              Good morning @redstar and @Victoria I have been having this problem for ever ,I believe it is down in the engine room amongst all the cogs and wheels,I believe only @Webmaster can deal with this as I have been barred since I blew all the gaskets up last time I went down below decks:smile:

              I have no problems on other sites:whistle:

                Thanks @wiseowl and @Victoria, I feel listened to. It was funny, yesterday, it took the one shot, then I went to put the next shot in (same moment in time) (same camera) and the site threw up the error thing that wiseowl has above, and continued to, so I gave up. and started this thread. thanks.

                  I have the same problem at times.I tried uploading an image from my iPad the other week of my cyclamen corms and it'd said the same as what it shows in Woos post and yet I took a photo the other day of my black runner bean seeds and it uploaded that photo with no problem so seems like one of us is having an off day:snorky:
