Plants to admire because of living with no soil. Once I've discovered them, I loved them.
Right now t. fuchsii is blooming:

How do they get their water and nutrients if they don't need soil?

Naturally with rain water, and organics washed by rain, through all the surface of plant. They grow roots only to fix to some support.
At home I spray them with water properly, making all plant wet, and occasionally adding fertilizer into the water.

I have to keep telling myself that I really don't need to start another collection of plants. Tillandsia are fascinating and really amazing in a green wall though (Nooo, I mustn't.....). :)

I had some of these for a few years, I also had quite a bit of spanish moss, I used to put this outside in summer and dump it in the water butt for an hour or so a couple of times a week, it multiplied really well until a couple of black birds spotted it.
It all disappeared in a couple of days.

Guess it made really good nesting material.

My small spanish moss doesn't grow much. Possibly, I try it keeping outside in summer too.
