    HI,
I was checking my peach tree as it looked a little forlorn and I found some of the leaves were curled up, on further inspection I discovered thousands of tiny black dots all over the leaves and they were moving!

What is this and how do I get rid of it please?
I sprayed them off with a spray gun and a little washing up liquid till they all fell off but will this cure it or do I need to do something else to stop them coming back?

Please help my poor peach tree is only 3 years old and looks very poorly
    thanks
    abbs

My money is on spider mite. I had it on an outdoor potted peach two years ago though it got started I think while it was in the greenhouse before being moved outside.

I left it outside this winter and despite spraying it have an awful case of peach leaf curl!

      Are these shiny?
Do they also appear on the bark?
I've seen very tiny mites that appear to travel up trees at this time of the year.
As far as I know they are harmless.

I dont think you have red spider mites, (never heard of black spider mites), they are slow moving.
Red spider would not make the leaves curl.

Unroll a curled leaf, it could be aphids.
If the leaves are rolled and deformed, perhaps reddish in colour, it could be Peach leaf curl.
