Do pinch out the side shoots.

I usually end up sticking a few of the side shoots (when they approx 2 1/2 big), into a 3" pot of damp compost, they take so easily, and don't take long to catch up either, giving you a longer cropping season ;) .

I've grown it as an outdoor bush before and left them on but otherwise nip em out

Done that myself nathan to gain a few extra tomato plants [IMG]

Another tip to gain a longer growing season...grow them up a string and when the tomato plant reaches the top and the bottom of the plant has been picked and is bare....drop the string down now and again covering the bottom of the stem with soil

    Thanks all for that confirmation.
I have been removing the side shoots but then someone told me they thought with that variety you don't need to.
Great sight for all the expert help us novices need.Keep up the good work.
