    Hello All,

I bought this tomato plant a week back. I haven’t done anything with it other than water it. I have noticed the leaves are kind of drying out and can see dry white patches on them. Photo is attached.

I keep it outside in the sun for most of the day and inside my greenhouse in the evening and night.

Really appreciate if anyone can impart some knowledge and guidance to me.

    regards,
    Shyam

    Hi,

That does look rather poor, think we would keep it in the greenhouse all day as outside in this sun and strong wind (in some areas) could be drying it out too much.

Also the nights can be near to freezing ( again in some areas) so assuming you do not have any heat in there it might be better to cover it in a bit of fleece overnight if its forecast very cold in your area.

To be safe, would suggest you buy another healthier plant as a backup, or even start some from seed, still plenty of time.

Also see the forums Tomato 2020 thread for lots more growing info and tips.
