Tomatoes

    Hi again to everyone, and a big thank you to all that have gotten back to me.
    Problem = Tomatoes,
    Could anyone tell me why my tomatoes are long and spindly, are they any good,or should I start again.

    Hi Keith, could they not have enough light ? if so, move them in sun daytime.Getting soon too late for indoor resowing Toms if you want them early, but try anyway, but plenty of time for out doors.What variety are they ?

    Mine were starting to get spindly in my propagator, so took them out, could it also be heat ....... My first guess would be light, like Ladybird suggested though.

    Dear Keith,
    depends how 'spindley ' they are. They do not sound very promising, but you could try them anyway, but do get a back up from the Nursery, just in case. Bit too late to grow again from seed. Tina .

    Its down to starting them off early and light levels keith....when re-potting bury the stem up to the first pair of leaves and the stem will throw extra roots out and help them recover, or alternatively buy some better specimens in

    ah you see no one told me to re-pot upto their first leaves! I'll do that this weekend, bet it makes mine look for more like normal plants :D
