    Unlucky for the bee:(

My son and I spent 20 minutes rescuing a bumblebee once, after it flew into the web of a gigantic spider in our outhouse. It took 20 minutes because we were keen for neither creature to be injured. I tried to knock the approaching spider away from the stricken bee with a stick while the lad ran to get a plastic container to trap the bee in. I bust the web, and as the side with the bee in swung down, it wrapped around the bee, so now we have a panicking snagged bee ready to sting anything or anyone. We got it out uninjured, and it was quite a powerful moment seeing the bee buzz off over the garden.
