trampoline fabric as weed membrane?

    I have the old fabric from our trampoline currently acting as a weed membrane. It's still early days do hard to tell how successful it's been, but I'm wondering whether I could create a raised bed for flowers/strawberries on top of it without them suffering? It lets water through fine and I'd be amazed if anything managed to grow up through it, but don't want to kill anything on top.
