Hi, I have a question about a tree outside the house we purchased last year.

When we got the house there was a beautiful blossoming tree at the front. We waited all year for it to blossom again, but some of the branches simply haven't...

Should I have been pruning it? Is it dieing?

Hopefully theres something we can do, we love the tree.

    Thoughts?
    Thanks![IMG] [IMG]

    Its a Magnolia.
Some branches appear to have died, not sure why.
I'd be inclined to prune out the dead wood at some point over the summer and see how things go.

The bad frost we had might have done it, it looks mainly effected in the gap maybe the wind blows down this way.

Thank you for the replies. The snow was heavy around the area, so hopefully it was just that and not a disease of some sort.

Will prune and hope for the best I guess...!
