    Hi there
Just wondered if anyone else has tried the Tree Lily bulbs this year.
I am usually pretty good at growing most things and lilies are literally potting up the bulbs.
But these bulbs have been pretty disastrous. I bought 12 and I have literally only had
5 pop up and three of these have wilted away.
I was really looking forward to growing these tall lilies.
Just wondered if it is just me or has anyone else had a poor show with them.
    Thanks
    Liz

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I've grown some from new bulbs (T&M) this year, planted mid March, mine are about 2ft tall and looking strong. Where did you get your's from?

Yes mine are from the same supplier.
I have never had a problem with bulbs before.
I probably planted mine late April.
Only one is looking strong and healthy.

We bought four from Wilkinsons about April time. Three are growing well and are about 6" high, but 1 has only just come through.

I also planted ordinary lilies around that time which are only just emerging. Give them a bit longer :blue thumb:

I usually start my lillies out in pots. Keep them in a sheltered spot.
And only plant them out once I see some growth.

Do you dig them up and store them over-winter then @Sirius ? I assumed I could just leave my bulbs in the ground, I planted them about 8" deep.

Hiya John. That's what I did, just left them in the ground, planted around 8" deep.

No, I don't dig them up.
But when I first buy them and they come in the bags I always feel they may have been knocked about a bit.
If they are given a bit of extra care, and then planted out, it will help them become established long term?
