Two unknown shrubs

    In my son's garden yesterday, he has got acidic soil and these two plants I don't recognise. Any help would be most appreciated:

        I love the Cistus (Rock Rose) which are a wildflower here. Mostly we have C ladanifer (white) and in the hills locally C albidus (lavender).
