It's OK for me now I'm using Firefox, but since the forum software was changed earlier today I cannot use Internet Explorer 9.0. When I opened a thread the reply box was there for a second then disappears.

I was able to use the chat facility on the front page though.

I cleared out my cookies, temp internet files and cache, none of which helped.

The solution for me is to to use Firefox, but I thought I'd mention it in case any other members are unable to post.

Someone sent me a message to that effect - presumably they were using IE too. I've not noticed any problems using Chrome.

You not a Chrome convert JWK?

Also get a really big gap between the title of the thread and the actual posts. Same in alerts

We had to update the software to avoid security weaknesses.

Problem is that older browsers are sometimes not compatible

example October 18, 2006 was the last release for IE7, in computer terms, that's ancient.;)

I suggest using a more modern browser for your own security, as IE7 could be venerable to many exploits.
Google Chrome is a good example

I moved to Google Chrome, from IE7 (donkey's years ago now). It was like Night and Day, highly recommended.

OK, now I'm using Chrome - this is from the same PC I have IE V9 installed on and doesn't work.

So it's no longer a problem for me I'll stick with Chrome, however some others may be locked out of the forum - I see that Kandy has posted on chat that she can't reply using IE.

That hasn't helped Richard. Let me know if there is anything else I can try to get IE working.

I'm on a PC with both Chrome and IE so I can experiment with IE and post the results with Chrome :)

The other factor is the operating system maybe?

The PC causing me the problem is running Windows 7.

Can other members please post on here their working configuration?

e.g. Win XP, Win Vista, Windows 7 and the IE version.

My setup that doesn't work is : Win 7 and IE 9

My setup that works is: Win 7 and Chrome

I'm using Win 7 and IE but don't know the version.

I've tried right clicking on IE and then properties to see what version but it just says Internet Explorer. Don't know how to find what version!

Everything is running fine. :blue thumb:

                      Hi Shiney, thanks for that.

To see what version of IE you are using select 'tools' (or shortcut Alt+X) then select 'About Internet Explorer'

I use Windows 7, have tested on all major browsers (latest versions) and not issue here.

On my old ie9 it did lag slightly on my old laptop, yet the post reply did work
