    I've never noticed whether any of mine are earlier than others. They start in late July/early August. I'll send you a few different ones and you can spend the next few years breeding an early-flowering, black-leaved, totally hardy variety. That'll keep you quiet for a bit :roflol:

      That would be good, something to do in my retirement :biggrin:
      I'm still trying to work out if day length is the flowering key, so it would make sense in some respects if flowering was earlier further south.

                      @Freddy , it's the kirkstone pass, looking down towards brothers water. My favourite road by far! It goes from Ambleside to ullswater. There's amazing views in either direction but this is heading towards ullswater :) Go the reverse way and you're looking at stunning views of Windermere :) win win :spinning:

                        Ah yes, I’ve travelled that road, absolutely stunning. Another stunning road is the one that leads into the Langdale valley. So many good roads to drive along :)
