unknown small tree in friend's garden ...

    This is the smaller one. There is another nearby that is about 5 meters tall. Both have buds but they are not yet open.

    We have a Cherry Laurel in our garden, Jen, and although the leaves and flowers look similar to the Prunus serotina that Silver surfer ID'd our friend's as, I agree with him. Ours is a shrub whereas our friend's is a small tree.

    Our Cherry Laurel is blooming like it never has before, totally covered in blooms this year. Another friend also has one and he said his is doing the same this year. Ours is starting to fade now, I better get a pic before it is completely over.
