Am I alone or, after two bumper years, is everyone getting a poor marrow/courgette crop.

Its been a pretty grotty year, too dry and too cold but the pumpkins are doing well.

I haven't done Pumpkins before, but mine aren't doing that well(maybe something I am doing wrong!!), but the courgettes are doing really well.

My pumpkins took ages to get going and I think are really behind. Most of the runner beans are only halfway up the poles and flowers are very sparse. Dwarf beans not very good either. The tomatoes in the geenhouse have been green for at least three weeks and although a reasonable size seem very reluctant to go red. Yes kerripaul it's a pretty grotty year! :(

My courgette/marrow crop have been very good this year in fact its the best they have been(i'm not bragging!) [IMG] My dad was looking after them for two weeks while we were on holiday and they certainly looked better when I came back. Maybe he has greener fingers than I do.But we do get a bit more steady rain here in East lothian. [IMG]

My marrows were planted in seed trays on 23/3
potted on 10/04 and four planted out under fleece 2/5. Then one took second prize in the local show on 25/6. They are still doing well, with about six small ones developing now.
