    From 17:30 12/10/2012
It takes a long time to provide front page
From there it takes approx two minutes to provide the next page or times out altogether
Other sites are working OK checked with ISP completed Pings and OK to your server

GC is driving me NUTS today."Not responding" :dunno: I'm with BT Internet and live about 100 yards from the Telephone Exchange!! Having trouble with Email connections - very slow too. Perhaps it is not just GC then?

I know this doesn't help but I had no problems whatsoever this week. Last week there was one day when I could raise the Net at all for a good portion of the day.:dunno:

Back to being serious. I'm on Virgin (Not something I ever thought i'd be saying again at my age)

And it goes pants in the evening, can't stream things, keeps crashing.

The whole site has been very sluggish for me for about a week now. From my observations, I don't think its anything to do with the connection or the server. I think something is running on the page consuming all the CPU time. This is weird, on my machine right now, with Chrome running just he GC page, I have 10 instances of Chrome running according to task manager. That's not right. I must dig about and find out why.

EDIT: Silly me, looking at the wrong tab. My machine knows it is only running one instance of Chrome, but Chrome has spun up 10 processes.

A bit more digging tells me that Chrome is leaking memory on GC, at a rate of up to 20MB every time you click 'New posts'. Not sure why, but when I open the console, I notice lots of errors and warnings about quirks in the xenforo javascript (ie the forum software itself).

It could take hours to debug, and as its third party software I don't think it would help anyway, and I'm full of cold, again, so I'm going to drink my beer instead:)

I can get to the site no problem , It is just once on the site any topic either takes over a minute or times out
I have pinged the site, and tracert both fine,
Other sites I visit are not giving the problem

It takes ages for "New Posts" icon to come up and then when I click on "new posts" the site just hangs. :dunno:

I just leave it and go somewhere else then. It's only GC which has gone slow on my confuser; everything else is fine.
