    hello
    please can you help i`ve had a Victoria plum tree now for around 4/5 years
    the last 2 years it has bared fruit
    but when they get to the size of a apple seed they are all gone the next day !
    something i think has eaten them but what ?
    the plum tree is in a huge pot and the tree has had something done to its roots
    so it does grow huge !
    thank you Paul

    Several things Paul. how often is it watered, how often is it fed and what do you mean it has had something done to it`s roots? Also, when you grow something in a container you are automatically bonsaing it, that is, keeping it smaller than it would be in the open garden.

    @paul777
    A photo would be handy.
    At what time of year do the fruit fall off, and what colour are they when they fall off?
    I suspect pollination could be an issue, although Victoria is supposed to be self fertile it benefits from having another plum around.

    Also, when you say 'they are all gone', does that mean there's no sign of them on the ground or in the pot?
