    Good afternoon,

Firstly apologies, I have already posted this question on the "Pest, Diseases and Cure" forum but reading other posts it would appear that I should have used General Gardening Discussion forum.

I am a new member and an allotment holder of two years. The allotment has an old Victoria Plum tree on it. The fruit last year was poor with many plums turning brown and rotting on the tree.

I pruned the tree and this years fruit is far more abundant however 90% of the new fruit has marks on it.

I have attached two photo to highlight problem:

Firstly what is the problem and secondly what action do I need to take. Should I dig it out and buy a new tree?

Looking forward to anybody's help on this one.
    Many thanks,
    Simon.
