Washing Parsnips

    How do you wash your parsnips? :confused:

    I spent 30 min scrubbing a few parsnips with a soft brush and water so I could roast them with the skin on. Does anyone have an easier way or am I just been lazy? :confused:

    hav`nt grown any myself yet but got some beauties given off an allotment holder next to ours and he told me to wash them straight away cos they keep better.only ever ate frozen shop bought before them but never since.absolutley deliciuos!

    Roasted around the meat luvvly.

    I peel them for boiling or mashing but for roasting it's best to keep the skin on. Just like carrots. Oh well back to the scrubbing brush! :rolleyes:
