    Hello I planted my own hanging basket and can't remember ever putting in a plant like this. It has a strong root so it makes me think it is a plant. Can anyone please advise me on this I have taken a pic for any expert to have a look at and advise me please

      Hi @Markw1 welcome to GC.. It looks suspiciously like Persicaria maculosa which we class as a weed here and personally I would get rid of before it can seed..
