It sounds quite normal to me. My neighbours caught me feeding a wasp once. A very large specimen had found its way into our bathroom and it gave me a nasty surprise as I was about to take a bath. It was lurking on the shampoo bottle. It had obviously been trying to get out for some time and it was weak, poor thing. I felt sorry for it. So I put it on a leaf in the garden. But it looked so pathetic that I gave it a blob of jam to eat. It soon came to life again. I think the neighbours were quite close to calling the men in white coats.

Near where my mum lives there is a small grassed area with about 3 trees beside the bust stop, people often took their dogs their to have a dump, most left the poop as it fell.
BUT, one day my mum got on the bus and being higher up than she was while waiting for said bus, she noticed in one of the trees was a notice that said "dogsh*t creek" it was a very well made and painted notice, it lasted for about 2 weeks
