Thanks Woo, I was looking at those long stolons in this picture - the leaves are certainly very similar, and the plant is hirsute too

 

Me too, not 100% sure about it but it seems to be the nearest I could find. But I`ll keep looking when I have time…

 

I`m still wondering what @Silver surfer thinks, but I think the leaves on your plant are ''beefier'' and not quite as dainty ?????

I knew I should know this ..we used to grow it!
As you can see it was rather happy in a shady damp woodland.
Been away so no time to help research it.

Top marks Saliha, and now I think @wiseowl can put the ''solved'' back on. Looks like a good ground cover (in the right place) I have never come across this one before, and the whole procedure has been an interesting challenge..........do you have any more puzzles for us?
