It's been spring like here today, summer like in the greenhouse :)

I've spent most of the day in the garden/greenhouse, preparing beds, sowing seed, nurturing my onions and chasing our puppy out of the veg garden - veg garden is fenced off but he's realised he can jump into my raised carrot/parsnip beds then down into the main plot and create chaos :( Yes, I will be putting up a taller fence.

I've sown cabbage, brocolli, cauliflower, leek, tomato, more onion and chilli peppers, potted on my Kelsae and Ailsa Craig onions. In the garden I've dug over my raised beds but need to add more organic matter so it will all have to be done again.

I've cut back the thyme, sage, mint and oregano, My chives have sprung up and my parsley is growing like mad :)

Picked a lemon of my lemon tree too!

Hopefully this weather will continue because I really need to attack my allotment.

Quite a dawn chorus this morning, at dusk two Blackbirds were duetting. Just been lining hanging baskets, generally tidying up and composting leaves from the borders. Did plant some buddlijas around and about, the more the merier as they seem to attract the butterflies a lot better than any other plant

Dunno what I did right but the broccoli and lettuce seed I sowed at the same time has germinated too!

I swear it took a few days longer last spring, could it be the the seed sowing compost I made up myself or just the seed itself?

Who knows, who cares, whatever it was I'm happy :D
