      Sorry, yes, the white are clover - it's the yellow that have me wondering. Thanks Scrungee. What about the bottom ones? They have different flowers, teeny little stars. Another variant of the trefoil?

      Would really like to see clear close ups.
      On this site you cannot zoom in for a good clear look.

      If in doubt....Have a good look at the seed heads...very easy to tell apart then.

      I believe that the tiny yellow flowers with a clover like leaf are Medicago lupulina....Black medick.

      Not sure on the second one. I couldn't get a decent closeup with my camera as the lens cover is scratched so it doesn't focus properly. Leaves look a little rounded at the ends.

      There's a mixture of lesser trefoil, birdsfoot trefoil (the yellow flowered plants) and self heal Prunella vulgaris, the purple one

      Self heal was a miracle cure for all manner of ye ailments in medieval times (hence its name).

      The purple ones look like Self heal - prunella vulgaris.
      Larger yellow in same pic look like Mouse eared hawk weed.
