I think that's the right approach for the balance between books and a Kindle, Kandy. To my Luddite mind
    [IMG]

the name "Kindle" is appropriate as I, if given one or if I bought one, would probably use it to kindle a bonfire in the garden.:dunno::heehee:

Wow! That takes me back. I read that nearly 60 years ago when it first came out. :old:

I'm currently reading a load of books (as usual). :)

An interesting one is Intelligence by Stuart Ritchie. It's about the current research into 'intelligence'. :blue thumb:

One of the other books, a novel, that is quite good is Support and Defend, written by Mark Greaney in the series of Tom Clancy books that are now being licenced to other writers, since his death.

Just finished reading "The Diary of Roger Lowe." Quite interesting as it is one of the few actual diaries written by a commoner.

I dunno! I used to write a diary and I'm pretty common. :lunapic 130165696578242 5: No! Change that, and leave out the 'pretty' bit. :snorky:

I had to dig up this old thread as I'm currently reading A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman..........
A Man Called Ove (novel) - Wikipedia

I did listen to it on Radio 4 when it was the book of the week but it is still an absolute delight to read. Thoroughly recommend it.

I've just been reading a series of thrillers by Steve Berry. They are very well written and combine modern espionage with events from history, and interweave many facts with what could be termed conspiracy theories.

The background information is well researched and woven into the stories. He was a trial lawyer and an expert on history.

@shiney, Hi shiney, i'm into Regency books and love the Scottish ones and English but I do luv a good romance in them but at the same time...history of that year is added in with the story, so your getting more educated as you get older:heehee: plus I can't count the books I've read from world war 1/2 up till the 50's.
