    [​IMG] I found this Woundwort Shield Beetle on some Woundwort in the field on my walk... The colours Are wonderful....!!! It is only about the size of your little finger nail..!! [​IMG]

    :D Seeing this one took me back to my childhood... :rolleyes: We would spend hours on a sunny day catching grasshoppers in jam jars.... Seem to remember them being green in colour too.... This one was hopping around this thistle, I don't know what they feed on.. Not the blackfly by any chance.....?? :D

    Grasshoppers - the Meadow Grasshopper is green and brown while the Field Grasshopper(as in your photo is all brown) They are mainly vegetarian and eat grass.
