As previously stated I'm a novice to tropical style gardening, however I now have my plot cleared and ready for a few plants. I already have a Fortunei, and a Waggie in there and I have earmarked other plants that I'd like to put in come spring.

I'd like to plant maybe a handful of plants now if possible because it looks a little barren out there, but obviously I'm aware that it isn't an ideal time of year so I wondered if anybody might like to throw a few suggestions at me? Here's a list of plants I'd like to consider having but are any suitable to plant out now?

    australis Purpurea

    sabal minor

    Rhapidophylum hystrix

    Yucca rostrata

    Musella lasiocarpa

    Canna Henlade hybrid

    Cycas revoluta

I'd wait till next year for those last three, they won't overwinter outside unless you are in a very sheltered location.
