What is ailing my Eleagnus ?

    Hi! I recently planted an Eleagnus ebbingeii, ca two weeks ago, in soft top soil in a raised bed. Yesterday I noticed some of the lower leaves had brown areas, only on the top side, back is fine. No sign of any beasties at all. I had a look on this forum and someone mentioned a similar problem back in 2011, so as this was some time ago, I thought I’d ask again ! I have cut the offending leaves off as per the answer to the question previously. Thanks !

      I think it may be a insect that sucks the leaves and creates those patches i READ about that in my RHS magazine as its a new insect introduction into the UK
